Youth Development Association Conducts Session on the Importance of Community Participation and Volunteerism
The Youth Development Association conducted an awareness session for its volunteers on the importance of community participation and volunteerism at the Multi-Purpose Community Services Center affiliated with the Agricultural Development Association (PARC), within the framework of cooperation and partnership with the Palestinian NGO Network.
The session addressed the role of youth in strengthening community participation and highlighted the importance of volunteer work in enabling them to contribute effectively to serving their communities and responding to local needs and priorities. It also emphasized the importance of fostering initiative, responsibility, and active engagement in addressing community challenges.
The session also discussed the role of volunteerism in developing young people’s skills and capacities, strengthening the values of cooperation, belonging, and solidarity, and creating wider opportunities for youth to take initiative and participate in community activities and initiatives that contribute to serving society and strengthening social cohesion.
This session comes as part of the Youth Development Association’s efforts to promote a culture of volunteerism and community participation among young people, strengthen their role as active members of their communities, and contribute to building more effective community partnerships while encouraging greater youth involvement in identifying priorities and responding to local needs.
