The Youth Development Association, in cooperation with its volunteer team and under the supervision and facilitation of specialists in reproductive health, conducted a series of awareness sessions in a number of displacement camps east of Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip. The sessions were implemented as part of the Association’s ongoing efforts to promote health awareness and reach vulnerable communities living in displacement settings.

The sessions aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of key reproductive health concepts, increase awareness of healthy practices and methods of preventing diseases and infections, and emphasize the importance of obtaining health information from reliable sources and consulting qualified health professionals when needed.

During the sessions, reproductive health specialists provided health information and practical guidance on personal care, hygiene, prevention of common health problems, and the importance of regular health follow-up. Participants were also given the opportunity to ask questions and discuss misconceptions and inaccurate information related to reproductive health.

The sessions adopted an open and interactive approach, creating a safe space for discussion, knowledge sharing, and the provision of practical and accessible guidance that participants can apply in their daily lives within displacement camps.

These sessions are part of a series of health and awareness activities implemented by the Youth Development Association across the Gaza Strip, aimed at strengthening health and preventive awareness, supporting displaced families in addressing health challenges associated with displacement, and contributing to their safety and well-being.
