Khan Younis – The Youth Development Association (YDA) organized an orientation meeting for its volunteers in Khan Younis, in conjunction with the opening of a public reception point at the Multi-Purpose Community Services Center of the Agricultural Development Association (PARC), in partnership with the Palestinian NGO Network (PNGO).

The meeting aimed to familiarize volunteers with the working mechanism of the public reception point and clarify their roles and responsibilities, while strengthening coordination and communication among them to help ensure the organized and effective delivery of community services that respond to people’s needs.

Participants also discussed the next steps for the coming period and developed initial ideas for community activities and initiatives that could be implemented based on local needs and priorities. The discussion also covered mechanisms for implementing, following up on, and evaluating these activities and their outcomes.

YDA emphasized the important role of volunteers in strengthening communication with the local community, listening to the needs of the public, and contributing to the documentation, referral, and follow-up of these needs, thereby supporting the Association’s ability to improve its interventions and respond more effectively to community priorities.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants stressed the importance of teamwork, commitment to the principles of volunteerism and social responsibility, and stronger coordination and cooperation among volunteers, contributing to positive and sustainable impact within the local community.
