The Youth Development Association conducted a health awareness session at Al-Fajr Camp in Khan Younis, focusing on the most common skin diseases that may spread in displacement settings and tent camps, including scabies, skin infections, and fungal infections. The session aimed to enhance health and preventive awareness among community members.

The session introduced the main causes of these diseases and the factors that may contribute to their spread. It also reviewed methods of prevention and ways to reduce the transmission of infections, while emphasizing the importance of maintaining personal and public hygiene, as well as keeping living spaces, clothing, and personal belongings clean.

The session also highlighted the importance of paying attention to skin-related symptoms and seeking medical advice from specialized healthcare providers when signs or symptoms requiring evaluation appear. This can contribute to limiting the spread of infections and promoting community health and safety.

This session is part of the Youth Development Association’s ongoing efforts to strengthen health and preventive awareness in displacement settings and to promote healthy practices that help families and individuals protect themselves and reduce health risks associated with living conditions in camps.
