Gaza – yesterday: For the third consecutive day, the Youth Development Association (YDA) continued implementing its humanitarian campaign to distribute safe drinking water across the Gaza Strip. The campaign aims to distribute a total of 120,000 liters of safe and potable water to families, displaced people, and other vulnerable groups in several areas of the Strip

On the third day of distribution, water was delivered to Basma Amal Inclusive Camp for Persons with Disabilities in Deir al-Balah, as well as Sanad Camp in the Al-Mashala area, west of Deir al-Balah. The distribution reached displaced families and residents in both camps as part of ongoing efforts to improve access to safe drinking water for communities facing severe humanitarian needs

The distribution at Basma Amal Inclusive Camp for Persons with Disabilities is particularly significant given the additional challenges faced by persons with disabilities and their families under the current humanitarian conditions. Their circumstances require greater attention to ensure safe and regular access to essential services and basic necessities

This campaign forms part of the Youth Development Association’s broader humanitarian response to the growing needs in the Gaza Strip, particularly the urgent need for safe drinking water. Through its interventions, the Association is working to reach shelters, displacement camps, and communities facing the greatest levels of vulnerability, while helping to alleviate the daily hardships experienced by affected and displaced families

The Association confirmed that the water distribution campaign will continue in the coming days in accordance with the planned schedule, with the aim of reaching as many affected families and vulnerable groups as possible and improving their access to safe drinking water as one of the most urgent and essential basic needs

The Youth Development Association also reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its humanitarian and field-based interventions across the Gaza Strip in coordination with relevant stakeholders, ensuring that assistance is directed to the areas and communities most in need.
