Embodied Unity and Resilience Against Settlements Youth Development Association Joins Solidarity Volunteer Day in Farkha
Salfit – The Youth Development Association and its volunteers joined residents of Farkha village, Salfit Governorate, in an international solidarity volunteer day organized by the village council, the Community Protection Committee, and the Agricultural Association (PARC). The initiative aimed to carry out voluntary work that strengthens farmers’ resilience and safeguards the land amid escalating settlement threats, land confiscations, and settler violence.
The activities focused on restoring and rehabilitating Badran Spring, the main source of drinking and irrigation water for the village, which is under threat of confiscation by settlers. Participants also toured areas at risk of seizure near settlement projects where settler attacks against residents, particularly farmers, have intensified.
The day concluded with a solidarity gathering at Qamar Al-Labed eco-farm, where local leaders highlighted ongoing Israeli violations and settlement plans. They called for greater local and international efforts to expose these practices and support the steadfastness of rural communities facing daily
pressures in the seam zones.
