Youth Development Association Concludes Specialized Agriculture Training of “Planting Trees and Making Plans” in Deir Istiya – Salfit
The Youth Development Association, in partnership with the Municipality of Deir Istiya and the Community Protection Committee, and funded by The Jerusalem Fund for Culture & Community Development, has concluded a specialized training course titled “Planting Trees and Making Plans” in Deir Istiya, Salfit Governorate.
The training focused on promoting best agricultural practices among local farmers and agricultural workers. It covered key topics such as tree planting and care, irrigation techniques, disease prevention and treatment, the use of organic fertilizers, modern harvesting and storage methods, and advanced agricultural applications to maintain product quality and increase market value.
This training is part of a wider project aimed at enhancing the capabilities of farmers and promoting sustainable agriculture. The Youth Development Association plans to replicate these specialized trainings in other villages across the northern and central West Bank to strengthen farmers’ resilience and improve their theoretical and practical knowledge in the agricultural field.
