Youth Development Association Completes Distribution of 2,000 Fresh Hot Meals to Displaced Families in Northern Gaza
The Youth Development Association, along with its volunteers in Gaza, has successfully distributed fresh and hot meals targeting shelters and residential gatherings in the northern governorate, specifically in central Gaza City and Al-Nasr neighborhood, including the "Al-Nasr School Shelter." Approximately 2,000 meals were distributed, focusing on families displaced from their homes in northern governorates due to the intense Israeli bombardment of residential areas and civilian homes.
This initiative is part of the campaign launched by the association to support displaced families in Gaza by addressing a small portion of their urgent needs, helping them endure and survive amid increasing hardships. Daily life has become increasingly unbearable with the complete lack of necessities, compounded by the blockade that prevents the entry of food supplies, water, baby formula, and other essential items to northern governorates. This dire situation raises serious concerns about the potential onset of a widespread humanitarian catastrophe for Gaza's residents.
The Gaza Strip is currently facing a severe humanitarian crisis due to the ongoing and relentless aggression, particularly in the northern areas. This has led to the mass displacement of citizens from northern regions to southern areas without access to the most basic needs, such as food, water, shelter, blankets, clothing, and hygiene supplies. This has significantly worsened the suffering of the displaced, alongside the extensive destruction caused by the U.S.-backed Israeli war machine to homes, shelters, hospitals, and areas previously considered safe havens for the displaced within the Gaza Strip.
It is worth noting that since the early days of the aggression, the Youth Development Association has launched an international campaign to assist families and residents across all areas of Gaza—north, central, and south. Over the past year, the association has provided essential services, including food, fresh vegetables, and clean water, benefiting nearly 2 million recipients.
