the Youth Development Association, alongside its volunteers in Gaza, distributed freshly cooked hot meals to IDPs in shelter centers, focusing on "Al-Nasr School Shelter" in Gaza City's severely affected northern area. This initial phase of meal distribution provided 1,000 hot meals, with further phases planned to deliver more meals to displaced families in shelters who have been displaced from their homes in the northern governorates due to the intense Israeli bombing of residential neighborhoods.

The people of northern Gaza face a dire humanitarian crisis due to the Israeli blockade, which has prevented the arrival of urgent humanitarian aid and led to the closure of crossings for months. International humanitarian organizations warn that the north has reached the brink of disaster, with the population nearing famine due to scarce food supplies and blocked access to critical humanitarian aid, including water, medicines, food, baby formula, clothing, and other essential items needed for survival.

This initiative is part of a broader campaign launched by YDA to support displaced families in Gaza, aiming to meet a fraction of the urgent needs of citizens and help them endure and survive. The suffering continues to escalate daily with the absence of even the most essential resources, compounded by the complete blockade on northern Gaza, which has prevented the entry of food, water, baby formula, and other essentials, pointing toward a looming humanitarian catastrophe for Gaza residents.

The Gaza Strip faces a severe humanitarian crisis due to ongoing attacks, especially in the northern regions, which have forced large numbers of residents to flee to the south without even minimal access to food, water, shelter, blankets, clothing, water, and hygiene supplies, drastically worsening the humanitarian situation. Additionally, the extensive destruction caused by the American-Israeli military machine has devastated homes, shelters, hospitals, and areas designated as safe zones for displaced individuals.

Since the onset of hostilities, the Youth Development Association has launched an international campaign to support the residents in Gaza's northern, central, and southern governorates. Over the past year, the association has provided approximately two million aid services, mainly focusing on food security, with 1,969,425 people benefiting from food parcels, children's food packages, hot meals, and fresh vegetable baskets. Additionally, water and hygiene services have reached 996,800 people, including clean water supplies, hygiene kits, women's kits, and the establishment of sanitation facilities. Shelter assistance has also been provided, with over 264,225 individuals benefiting from items like children's essentials, tents and related supplies, blankets, and clothing.
